What is this website all about?
SiteDump is a service offering automated website backups for both personal or business usage.
Currently we only support websites placed on a cPanel server (which most already is). If your not sure if your website is placed on a cPanel server or not, then use our free cPanel Checker tool. This tool check if your website is placed on a cPanel server, alternative you can contact your web hosting company to ask.
How does it work?
It's quite simple.
- Create an account.
- Add your website details to your client control panel.
- Define how often you wan't us to backup your website.
- Upload a file to your website, or we can do it for you. This file contain your website details and cannot be viewed by the public. This also makes it possible to run this service without saving any login details of your website on our servers. It's all placed locally on your website! How awesome is that.
Is it secure?
Our service is developed with security and safety in focus, counting both data loss and theft.
We are probably the most secured website backup service currently around and do everything possible to stay in that possition.
- Your login password to our client area is encrypted using sha1.
- We are using Amazon AWS S3 Cloud storage for all your website backups.
- We use HTTPS (SSL) for both our client area and login pages, to prevent man-in-the-middle and eavesdropping attacks.
- No website login details is saved at our servers or can be accessed from them, everything is stored locally at your website and cannot be accessed by the public.
These are just a few of the methods and solutions we use to keep your data safe. We cannot disclose any specific details about the rest, we do however use several encryption and detection techniques/solutions and working together with high professional data protection experts.
Isn't it my webhost's job to backup my data?
Yes and no. In most cases they will not be able to restore your data if you mess something up. They only backup your data so they are able to restore all accounts incase something is wrong with the server.

All data, details and settings within your cpanel account will be backed up, such as:
